Biokido was founded by 4 entrepreneurs with the mission of contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the healthcare industry by using artificial intelligence. Three of the co-founders have more than 20 years experience in the sector, and more specifically in distribution, sales and management. The fourth co-founder has worked on deep learning and artificial intelligence for more than 10 years both academically and professionally. As a result, they have been able to identify problems within the sector and develop specific solutions tailored to addressing the problem. Their last product is a good example: They identified that the need for the use of digital images and auxiliary software during surgery is increasing as the technology develops. Thus, Biokido developed DORA Motion, which is a medical device that allows the surgeon to access the desired information which includes the patient's radiological images. Auxiliary software allows for simple hand movements without touching the mouse and keyboard while maintaining a sterile environment. The product can also be connected to other computers and mouse-controlled devices so that the surgeon can control the devices without physical contact. Informative videos about DORA Motion can be found on their YouTube channel.
Biokido's main innovation is DORA Motion, an AI medical device that enables surgeons to access and easily manipulate patient images and information with only a few hand movements without touching any surface: it enables sterilised access to digital files and auxiliary software during surgery. A demo of DORA Motion can be found on their YouTube channel. Additional innovations include:
